The Three Bridges Team

  • Lisa Smith

I became the Head teacher at Three Bridges Education Centre in November 2020 and I love what I do. I work with the most amazing team of adults and young people.
I have worked in SEND for most of my career in various roles and gained lots of experience along the way, although there is always something new to learn! I was Head of SEND service at a Derbyshire County Council before I made the move to beautiful Cornwall, where you will mostly find me outdoors, such as hiking the coastal path, on my paddle board or doing a bit of yoga on the beach.
I am passionate about equality and apply person centered practice to all I do. I work to reduce barriers and increase opportunities and resilience for our young people, helping them to reach their own full potential, have high aspirations and live full and happy lives.

  • Laura Sanders

I joined the team at 3B's in Dec 2015 and I am the mental health and well-being lead. I have taught in both mainstream and SEN educational provisions for 25 years. I consider myself very privileged to work alongside an inspiring team of staff and a fabulous group of individuals. The best part of my job is watching our young people reach their potential, developing self-belief and becoming the best version of themselves.

  • Louise Symons

I started working at Three Bridges in 2017, since starting I have watched with pride the young people and staff grow and achieve. My passion is the outdoors, environmental science being a particular interest and most importantly I love the ocean and anything in and around it, being on the beach is my happy place whatever the weather. I will happily get involved with all aspects of the school, you will often see me outside making dens and playing hide and seek.
